I Can’t Quit!
If there is a common temptation that we have faced in our life, it is the temptation to quit. At one point or another, whether in a difficult marriage, a trying job situation, or the most important to us, with our walk with God, the thought has probably come, “Just Give up.” Yet God has given us abundant encouragement to say “I can’t quit, I must run on!”
 

I can’t quit because:

Someone is counting on me! A mother, though sick, continues to do her daily work because she knows her children are depending on her. We can’t quit because there are men and women depending on us to be a witness of Christ to them.

I have a job to do! Building a wall around a city doesn’t seem like a great work for the Lord, but Nehemiah realized that our God given tasks must be continued through to completion. The devil may say, “It’s just teaching the children.” Or “It is only cleaning the church.” Or “You are only a student.” But we can’t quit because we realize we have a job to do. I can’t quit because I am doing a great work for God!

We are not quitters! God’s Word tells us:
        Heb 10:38-39
        Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
        But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

        1Jo 2:19
        They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but
         they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
         As if to say, they quit, and that shows the world they are not a part of us, because we are not quitters!

God didn’t quit on me! The footsteps up Calvary ’s hill led in one direction only. There were no U-turns. Though our Saviour stumbled and fell, He arose each time. He didn’t quit on us!

God Said not to quit! I can’t quit church because God said “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together. (don’t quit coming to church)”
           · I can’t quit praying because He said “Pray without ceasing.”
           · I can’t quit praising because He said “Rejoice evermore.”
           · I can’t quit believing because He said “Have faith in God” and “the just shall live by faith.”
So when temptation whispers in your ear “Just give up.” Shout back in his face “I can’t quit!!!”
