To God be the Glory…. for the things He has done!
I can’t help but sing that old song in remembrance of how good and faithful God has been in my life. We recently finished a
life changing revival with Rev. Ashmore where God moved night after night. New believers were filled with the Holy Ghost and
Christians were challenged to really take God at His word & To trust in his goodness, faithfulness and miracle working
ability for us today & really for us everyday! Praise God, I can feel the Holy Ghost as I type!
The first miracle was the revival itself. Our Pastor had informed us that he didn't know of anyone nearby, but We prayed as a
church for a Revival. I prayed, as I am sure others did too, for revival because I was desperate for a fresh touch and God
did not disappoint us.
We were told that Rev. Ashmore would be with us for four nights and I was thrilled. On that last night, it was announced that
we would keep going another four nights! Amen! I am so grateful to serve among brothers, sisters and leaders who let the move
of God make the plans!
As I shared a with co-worker, who is the wife of a pastor at another local church, that our Revival was going on past the
date originally scheduled, she was shocked and amazed that there is a church where a real move of God could keep a Revival
going. She told me that her church couldn’t even afford to pay a speaker to come, let alone stay any longer than scheduled! I
thank God for this church that He has assembled.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY……
The very first night, I was encouraged in God’s word and really challenged to exercise faith in his healing power. I prayed
with Rev. Ashmore for healing in my hands and wrists and God immediately took all of the pain and numbness away. Even that
very afternoon at lunch time, before the first service, I was struggling to hold a fork to eat. But, God is a healer, and I
no longer have this disabling pain in my body. ….TO GOD BE THE GLORY…
During the revival I prayed for financial blessings in my life. I am raising my three small children with only the help of
the Lord, so I depend on God a lot in this area of my life. Being the faithful God that He is, God has blessed time and time
again in the past. But, this time I needed fresh miracles. So I prayed, and I thanked God for blessing me, by faith. And then
I started looking for my miracle. I knew that my daughter’s birthday was coming up and that God was going to provide. I had
budgeted enough to pay for a dinner at her restaurant of choice, but not for presents too. So I remembered all the preaching
we heard and I prayed once again, knowing that I am a daughter of the King and my daughter deserved a birthday present. So,
for about a week, I went looking around for my miracle. Like I already said, God has worked miracles before, so I kept
looking for the blessings where they had come before. And, nothing came through, as I thought it would.
(That’s what I get for thinking!) But, because you know my God — I am sure that you know that this story doesn’t end there.
We went to the restaurant where my daughter wanted her dinner, and my Sister and her family came too.
When the waitress came to the table, she could see that there were two families there and she asked if our orders would be on
one check or two.
Then God did what only he could, and my brother in law piped up and told the waitress that he was paying for everybody! If
YOU KNEW my sister and her husband you would understand that only God could make that happen!! :0)
Praise God! God waited until we were at the table, and He provided. I left the restaurant that night so happy and went
immediately to buy my little girl her presents with the budgeted dinner money — God did it! and I thank Him again and
again….. TO GOD BE THE GLORY…..
This would be a great testimony to God’s greatness if it ended here, but as we were reminded in Revival, God isn’t just a one
time God. He is an on time God and He blesses continually. Every day is a day of great miracles and blessings in Christ!
Nine days after this miracle, I was asked into my boss’s office. He gave me my semi-annual review. At the end of the review,
he gave me a bonus of $1,500.00. Thank you Lord! ……FOR THE THINGS HE HAS DONE…...
